Dragon Naturally Speaking comes in multiple versions, each developed specifically to address the needs of different user types. The Home version is the most basic, and least expensive of the three, but also has less features than the others. This version is best only for individual users who want simple dictation functionality with documents.
The Premium edition software is the best deal overall, as it allows for editing Excel spreadsheets and PowerPoint presentations in addition to supporting trascription from a portable microphone. In this way, you can record yourself into a portable voice recorder for later transcription. Also, the Premium version supports a wireless headset.
Lastly, the Professional version is strictly for office use or home office use, as it includes the best features of the other versions with the added benefit of network support and multiple user support. In other words, this version was made to function well specifically in an office environment.
For the typical user, we recommend the Premium version for the best deal, as it has much more functionality than the Home version. However, all versions are indeed 99% accurate and support accents as well.
